Scott Biller, PHD

Scott Biller, Ph.D., has served as a member of our Board of Directors since January 2020. He currently serves as executive venture partner at Google Ventures (GV). Scott previously served as the chief scientific officer at Agios Pharmaceuticals and has more than 30 years of drug discovery and development experience with notable positions at Novartis Pharmaceuticals and Bristol Myers Squibb.

During his career, Scott contributed to the discovery and development of five approved medicines: JUXTAPID^® for familial hypercholesterolemia, ONGLYZA^® and FARXIGA^® for Type 2 diabetes, and IDHIFA^® and TIBSOVO^® for acute myeloid leukemia harboring an IDH2 and IDH1 mutation, respectively, as well as two new chemical entities that are currently in pivotal trials.

Scott earned a B.S. in chemistry at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), a Ph.D. in organic chemistry at Caltech, and was an NIH Postdoctoral Fellow at Columbia University.
